Whether you are a friend or relative, a loved one's hospitalization can be an extremely difficult time. At Carolinas Medical Center-Union, we consider your role as one of providing emotional support to the patient, and we recognize and appreciate the importance of your visits.

Visiting Hours
CMC-Union visiting hours provide the maximum rest for patients while allowing friends and family the opportunity to visit.

• Medical/Surgical Unit (3rd and 4th floors) and
  Women and Children's Center - Open visitation 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Children under 12 may visit with a nurse's permission. Three guests per visit, please.
• Intensive/Coronary Care - Visiting hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 8 to 8:30 p.m. Limit two guests per visit.

Parking
Convenient parking areas have been clearly designated for visitors, employees and physicians. Parking for visitors is free.

Gifts and Flowers
Patients in the Coronary or Intensive Care Units may not keep flowers in their rooms.

Cheer Corner - Gift Shop
Located in the main lobby of the hospital, Cheer Corner Gift Shop is operated by hospital employees and volunteers. We offer a wide selection of items to suit most every taste, age and occasion. Items available include balloons, flowers, baskets, gifts, greeting cards, jewelry, personal care items, and a large selection of snacks, candies, sodas and juices. MasterCard and VISA cards are accepted.

Gift Shop hours are Monday through Friday, 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. The gift shop is closed on holidays.
